Questions and Answers
Is there a down side to using a refilled cartridge?
No, but there are many benefits to gain by using refilled cartridge. Not only are you saving money, you are also helping the environment while still maintaining a high quality product.
Are recycled cartridges inferior to a new cartridge?
Not at all. There should be no difference in the print quality of all our cartridges. We use the best toner and premium inks available, specifically designed for each individual cartridge, and we replace all wearing parts in toner cartridges. The extensive quality and testing procedures, even before the cartridge leaves our premises, ensure best print quality every time backed by our 100% money back guarantee.
In fact, many of the "new" toner cartridges also use recycled parts. Look at the packaging and read the statement. For example:
- HP cartridges: "Made in Japan from the highest quality new and recycled materials."
- Canon cartridges: "Canon has implemented a cartridge recycling program. This cartridge may contain reconditioned parts and re-molded materials."
How many times can my cartridge be refilled/re-maufactured?
Both inkjet and laser cartridges can be refilled/re-manufactured several times. We are able to test the majority of cartridges after they have been refilled/re-manufactured, hence our Money Back Guarantee.
How does using a re-manufactured cartridge affect my printers warranty?
All our cartridges meet or exceed the performance of original cartridges. It doesn't affect it at all. If a problem with the printer should occur, the printer manufacturer must prove that the refilled cartridge caused the damage.
Can't I just refill my own cartridges?
Perhaps you have noticed that the "do-it-yourself refill kits" are becoming harder and harder to find. There is a reason for this!
The results are usually unsatisfactory. Cartridges filled using home refill kits seldom perform as well or as long as expected. Not many people try this approach a second time.
Besides, printed page for printed page, refilled cartridges from Cartridge World are probably even less expensive than those messy, awkward home refill projects.
Why are Cartridge World cartridges better than those I can do at home?
We could spend quite a while talking about what is necessary to refill ink jet cartridges. Here is the short version:
When we receive a cartridge, the first thing we do is test it. If it is suitable for refilling, we purge the remaining ink using a specially-designed centrifuge.
When we fill the empty cartridge, we fill from the bottom, not from top, using vacuum equipment and precision dispensers.
This allows us to insure that the cartridge is free of any bubbles that will prevent filling, and that a full charge of ink is in each chamber.
Without purging the cartridge and filling from the bottom while the cartridge is in a vacuum chamber, it would be impossible to avoid bubbles in the cartridge.

We have a collection of brief articles that go into more detail about these topics. Take a look!
